Lighting Guerrilla: Platonic Solids
About
Produced as part of the Lighting Guerrilla Laboratory—an annual platform for practical education in new media art—this project resulted in a site-specific interactive installation located in an atrium in old Ljubljana.
Exploring the symbolism of the five Platonic solids, the installation featured a central icosahedron representing the elements. The piece combined projection mapping with custom lighting design. Workshop participants, led by mentors from Beam Team and Aleš Zupanc, created original audiovisual content and audio-reactive patterns using MadMapper. The installation was fully interactive: viewers influenced the visual structure by touching sensors connected to a custom analogue interface, allowing them to manipulate the lights and projections in real-time.
